Experienced Trial Lawyer
Attorney Steven B. Rasile is an experienced trial attorney, and he has been recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyer in Connecticut Magazine for numerous years. Steve was born in West Haven, Connecticut, and he graduated from West Haven High School. Thereafter, he attended the University of South Florida where he graduated on the dean’s list and then he graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law. While still attending law school, Steve conducted numerous criminal trials and violation of probation hearings and found criminal trial work to be his calling. Upon passing the bar exam, Steve practiced law in Miami before moving back to his childhood home in West Haven. Thereafter, he opened Law Office of Mirto & Rasile a firm that included him and his mentor, where he continued his trial work.
For more than twenty years, Steve handled a myriad of criminal matters in both the Connecticut State and Federal Courts. During this period Steve also argued many times in front of the Connecticut Court of Appeals, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York.
In the federal criminal context, Steve is experienced in defending people charged with racketeering (RICO), violent crimes in aid of racketeering (VCAR), drug conspiracy and drug possession (including fentanyl and fentanyl analogues), Hobbs Act Robbery, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime or drug trafficking offense, criminal possession of a firearm, fraud, credit card (access device) fraud, and internet sex crimes.
Steve is also knowledgeable in real estate law. He has conducted a vast number of residential and commercial transactions, and he understands the nuances and risks a client may face when either purchasing or selling their home or business property. Based on this experience, he diligently protects their interests.
"As a client I always knew he cared with his heart. This is not just a job and a paycheck for Steven. I just want to take a moment to thank Steven Rasile for caring. Let me go into detail. My son has made a few poor choices in the past. Steven always listened and went above and beyond to make sure my son had the best defense possible. He ALWAYS made my son a priority. As a client I always knew he cared with his heart. This is not just a job and a paycheck for Steven. He has pride in his work. As a parent I always knew I had nothing to worry about. I knew he would go in that court room and give it his all. Steve didn't take the easy way out. If he had to ask for a continuance and go back to the drawing board. Not an issue. I would have never gotten through this without him. I will always be grateful for all he has done. He has made a difference in
my life and my son's as well."Patricia B.
